Summer is coming to an end, which is sad. BUT... Fall ya'll. Fall is the best. We have an eventful summer, so I wanted to reflect back on all of the fun we have had. I feel like we have been running around everywhere. With a new baby pretty much every day is something new and different, so it has kept this introvert of a momma on her toes! So enjoy the highlights of our family's summer in pictures (mostly of Ruby), because lets be honest that's who most people want to see. I don't blame you she's pretty cute (I'm not bias or anything).
I started back at work full time for the summer after getting to be home with Ruby for almost 6 months. I praise God for that time I got to spend with her. It showed me that I love my daughter, but God has also created a love in me to work out of the home. So Ruby got to start daycare. If you know Ruby she is loving it because PEOPLE. She is the extrovert to my introvert.

Ruby's first day of daycare.
We have done a lot of traveling back and forth to visit Gigi and Poppy and Grandma. We got to go to the county fair where Ruby tried funnel cake for the first time. FYI she will be your best friend if you give her powdered sugar.

Getting kisses from powdered sugar girl. She was crazy in the car after this and then just crashed.

Also on this trip Ruby found out she does not like corn. Can we really live in Iowa with a child who doesn't like corn?
We also got to spend a weekend at the Lake with my parents at their condo. It was so nice. Ruby loves the water. We also discovered that if you go boating Ruby will fall asleep within the first few minutes. So I guess we just need to boat everywhere.

Stopped by to see sissy (Eleanor) on the way down to the Lake.
To end our summer we went to the State Fair. I love the State Fair. I remember going as a family when I was a kid, so I wanted to pass that tradition on to our daughter. She loved it. I mean why wouldn't she? It has all of her favorite things: People, Animals, and FOOD!! She got to try some of dada's corn dog and a bucket of cookie's cookie. She was in her happy place.

So that was our summer. It was a blast. I love to see Ruby experience new things. Her face just lights up at the most simplest of things, because she is experiencing it for the first time. It reminds me that family time and the little things are what matter. To just slow down and enjoy life the best you can. Here's to another great season.... THE START OF FALL! Bring on the pumpkins and the spice!
